Methodological foundations for training specialists engaged in information and political education work within law enforcement agencies

Abstract (English):
Introduction. The article discusses the process of justifying and selecting methodological and theoretical approaches to researching the training of human resources staff in law enforcement responsible for information and political education work (IPEW). The necessity of training and retraining law enforcement officers in information and political education work is demonstrated. Four levels of methodology in scientific research are described. The primary focus is placed on justifying the choice and substantively elaborating the methodological foundations that underpin the theoretical and methodological approaches to training IPEW specialists for law enforcement agencies. Research methods. The study employs analysis of methodology in psychological and pedagogical research; examination of regulatory requirements for IPEW specialists; analysis of concepts and activities in information and political education work among law enforcement personnel; theoretical and methodological conclusions. Results. Based on the analysis of potential methodological approaches in relation to the objectives of information and political education work for law enforcement personnel, this study substantiates the advantages and efficacy of the person-centered developmental, subject-activity, and hermeneutic approaches for relevant training and professional development. The influence of these approaches on the theoretical foundations of the research, as well as on the organisation and content of experimental work on training, professional development, and specialised courses for IPEW specialists in higher education institutions of the RF Ministry of the Interior is analysed.
