Introduction. Modern socio-pedagogical realities make it necessary to develop effective strategies to prevent deviant behaviour in adolescents. In this regard, preventive pedagogy acts as a promising direction aimed at preventing and minimising negative social phenomena that have a destructive impact on personality development. Preventive pedagogy is based on the integration of pedagogical and psychological knowledge that provides for forming sustainable mechanisms of early prevention. The author of the research analyses different ways in creating conditions for developing social and personal resources of adolescents by involving them in various types of prosocial activities. The author underlines the great importance of educational work in the prevention of deviant behaviour, ensuring the intentional development of the emotional sphere, social skills and moral responsibility of adolescents. Systematic interaction between school, family and community is substantiated, which makes it possible to integrate preventive measures in all spheres of adolescents’ socialisation. Such an approach contributes to creating a unified system of support and control, enhancing the effectiveness of educational and preventive measures, fostering the formation of positive models in adolescents, including legal behaviour. In addition, innovative pedagogical experience in the field of prevention of adolescents’ deviant behaviour is analysed. Methods. General scientific methods aimed at collection, analysis, systematisation and generalisation of findings resulting from the analytical review of specific literature were used for carrying out a comprehensive examination of the research problem. Results. The conclusion on the need for a systematic and holistic approach to solving the problem of preventing deviant behaviour and developing the personality of adolescents based on the basic provisions and principles of preventive pedagogy was formulated. The significance of educational and preventive work in forming positive attitudes, values and behaviours in adolescents was substantiated, as well as the importance of studying, generalising and implementing advanced pedagogical experience in the educational space in order to more effectively organise and realise preventive activities.
