Introduction. The peculiarities of professional activity in the divisions of the internal affairs bodies suggest a high level of psychological tension and health or life risks for the employee. Given specificity directly predetermines the high demands for personal and qualitative characteristics of each employee of the above-mentioned structure. The orientation of perception and reflection of the objective world as dangerous or safe in the absence of real threats determines the subjective assessment of the situation and the analytical and predictive ability of employees and can affect the performance of professional tasks. The expansion of psychodiagnostic tools with the help of the proposed author’s questionnaire “Self-assessment of psychological safety”, which allows to determine the level of psychological safety or danger experienced by employees, will contribute to the early prevention of negative consequences for the professional and personal lives of employees. The Self-Assessment of Psychological Safety questionnaire consists of 26 statements evaluated on a six-point scale. The final score is formed by summing up the grades received for each item and assumes, depending on the final result, theexperience level determination of psychological safety or danger. Research Methods. Correlation analysis, factor analysis, expert assessments and comparative analysis. Reliability assessment based on uniformity, retest reliability, expert and design validity. Results. The reliability and validity of the developed questionnaire “Self-assessment of psychological safety” was confirmed by the presented results of the psychometric verification procedures. Due to its small size and uncomplicated processing system, the developed psychodiagnostic technique can be used for rapid assessment of the current moral and psychological state of employees as part of psychological support for law enforcement agencies activities.
