Introduction. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that during special military operation the requirements to the quality of military specialists training change. The time allocated for both classroom and independent work should be used by cadets as effectively as possible. In our opinion, this can be achieved by introducing the Porter and Lawler theory of motivation into the educational process. The paper also considers the issue of options for rewarding military personnel for their efforts and achievements (successes). Methods. Pedagogical experiment, analysis, synthesis. Results. Based on the analysis of the experiment results, the author evaluates the impact of rewards received after completing scientific tasks on the motivation of military cadets and identifies the relationship between motivation, satisfaction and the effectiveness of further training. The article presents the results of the experiment illustrating the effectiveness of applying the theory in practice and its importance for the development of motivationand reward systems in cadets that will increase their interest in learning.
