Introduction. On February 26, 2026, a joint meeting of two scientific councils under the Russian Academy of Education was held, dedicated to the problems of deviant and destructive behavior among minors. The relevance of the meeting is driven by the need to reflect on existing approaches to prevention due to the development of various forms of deviance and destructive behavior determined by the current state of family and school institutions. Methods. Leading Russian scholars presented assessments of the preconditions and forms of deviant and destructive behavior among minors, based on the results of statistical data, theoretical and empirical research on deviant and destructive behavior in educational, family, and informal systems of relations. Results. The meeting participants discussed the dual role of the family as a key factor in both the prevention and risk of destructive behavior, as well as the potential of schools to provide psychological and pedagogical counteraction to manifestations of destructiveness (aggression, bullying, armed attacks). The multidirectional nature of manifestations of aggressive and violent behavior among minors, determined by socio-economic, cultural, and technological factors, was noted. It was established that currently applied preventive measures need improvement, and the necessity of transitioning from local approaches to an integrative and environmental strategy of psychological and pedagogical prevention was emphasized. Discussion and Conclusion. It was noted that improving the effectiveness of preventing deviance and destructive behavior requires comprehensive interagency work, enhanced training of specialists, and the implementation of evidence-based programs that take into account the characteristics of minors as well as the socio-economic, cultural, and psychological factors that determine deviant and destructive behavior. The outcome of the meeting was the decision to develop specific practical recommendations based on the proposals presented.
