Abstract (English):
This article offers a summary of key discussions and findings from the international conference “Pedagogy and Psychology in Law Enforcement: Bridging Theory and Practice”, held in October 2025. The primary aim of the conference was to promote and enhance international and interdisciplinary collaboration, uniting experts from various fields of psychological and pedagogical practice for a discussion on theoretical and practical developments concerning the moral and psychological aspects of law enforcement work. The conference brought together over 150 specialists from 50 organisations across Russia and abroad, including representatives from the People’s Police Academy of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the General-Mayor E. Aliyev Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic; the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Saint Petersburg State University; Moscow State University of Psychology and Education; the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration; the Moscow City Bar Association; as well as representatives from educational institutions under the Russian Ministry of the Interior, the Russian Ministry of Defence, the Russian National Guard, the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Ministry of Education, and territorial bodies of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The plenary session of the conference featured presentations and analytical materials that outlined the current state of moral and psychological support for the professional duties of law enforcement officers in Russia and other countries. The conference’s master classes and roundtable highlighted positive experiences in implementing contemporary psychological and pedagogical methods. The outcomes of the conference included: a discussion of academic and applied challenges of integrating legal pedagogy and psychology into practice; the enhancement scientific collaboration between law enforcement and security sector educational institutions; and the exploration of effective psycho-pedagogical approaches for officer training. The international conference produced a resolution.
