Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Introduction. This article is devoted to describing the results of an empirical study of emotional burnout conducted on a sample of police officers in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examined the severity and differences in the manifestation of symptoms of emotional burnout among police officers and sergeants. In addition, the degree of satisfaction of police officers with various aspects of their work and the level of resilience as an important personal resource that can help reduce symptoms of emotional burnout were assessed. The problem of emotional burnout among police officers in modern conditions is particularly relevant, since, on the one hand, working conditions are becoming increasingly stressful due to the complicated socio-economic and political situation in the world, and, on the other hand, the demands on police officers are increasing. The professional activities of police officers play a vital social role and, at the same time, involve significant emotional and physical stress, which increases the risk of emotional burnout. Research Methods. The empirical study was conducted at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent. Theoretical and empirical research methods were used in the study: analysis, synthesis, questionnaires, testing, mathematical methods of data processing (comparative analysis, descriptive statistics). Results. The study showed that there are differences between sergeants and officers in terms of how much they show signs of emotional burnout, how happy they are with their job, and how resilient they are. The sergeant group demonstrates more pronounced symptoms of emotional burnout, such as anxiety and depression, inadequate emotional responses, increased emotional economy, and reduced professional responsibilities. Sergeants are characterised by higher levels of resistance and stress. Officers demonstrate a higher level of satisfaction with their professional activities in most parameters, including remuneration, promotion opportunities, working conditions, and workplace communication. In the officer group, components of resilience such as engagement and control are higher.
