The prerequisites for the study is an increase in the number of new types of crime, including those committed with the use of digital technologies, which requires new methodological and methodical approaches to the training of personnel for the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and, above all, their vanguard - executives at all levels. The purpose of the study is to identify the main directions for the development of management education in the system of law enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation, to substantiate the need for the development and approbation of innovative teaching methods in the context of digitalization. Research method: questioning, survey, participant observation, expert assessments, summative and formative assessment. The most important results of the study in which full-time and part-time students of the Faculty of Management took part during 2019-2020 (N-1273) made it possible to define, substantiate and check the effectiveness of the following directions for the development of managerial education in the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation in the context of digitalization: the formation and development of digital competence of executives; case-based learning in situational management of internal affairs bodies; creation and implementation of individual educational training routes; the use of distance learning technologies, including the final certifying examination in online study mode; implementation of quasiprofessional activities of students in the player space of polygons, situational centers, center of commandstaff exercises; development of professionally significant personal qualities of executives, training in tactics and methods of personal professional safety, prevention of professional deformation and anti-corruption standard of behavior; accumulation of electronic components of information and educational environments of educational institutions.
