The article presents an overview of the deviantology section of the XXXII Moiseev Readings of the Russian Academy of Sciences, held on March 6, 2025. For the first time, the Readings included a section on the sociology of deviant behaviour (deviantology) in recognition of the scholar’s achievements in studying the general scientific foundations of the modern universe and his contribution to the development of the methodology of modern deviantology. The official title of the scientific event was “The Principles of Complementarity and Universal Evolutionism in the Methodology of Modern Deviantological Research”. Participants in the deviantology section included representatives from the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Russian State University of Justice named after V. M. Lebedev, the Moscow Regional Branch of Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V. Ya. Kikot, Military University of the Ministry of Defence of Russia named after A. Nevsky, Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Samara National Research University named after Academician S. P. Korolev, Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, and others (over 40 participants applied). Based on the results of the conference (Readings), general (theoretical) and applied recommendations were formulated and sent to the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as to a number of leading scientific and analytical centres.
