Abstract (English):
Introduction. The article analyses the dynamics of early personality and emotional state changes in employees of internal affairs bodies who performed operational and service tasks being part of joint detachments on the territory of the new regions of the Russian Federation. The article presents the results of a study of negative, compensatory-protective and positive aspects of the influence of special conditions of activity on the personality. The relevance of the study is due to the need of substantiating indications for early psychological rehabilitation of the employees of internal affairs bodies performing operational and service tasks in particular conditions. Material and methods. The study involved 47 employees of internal affairs bodies, average age 35.93 ± 6.1 years, who spent 90 days acting as part of joint detachments on the territory of the new regions of the Russian Federation. Research methods: standardised multifactorial method of personality research, M. Luscher test. Data statistical treatment of the results was carried out with the help of descriptive and comparative analysis methods. To assess the reliability of differences in dependent samples, the Wilcoxon T-test was used, with a significance level of (p < 0.05). Results. Three variants of early personality changes of the internal affairs bodies employees were revealed: negative (excessive excitement, mental tension, impulsiveness, irascibility, anxiety, rigidity, individualism, neurotic control, pessimism, mixed type of stress response, predisposition to neurasthenic or psychosomatic maladaptation); compensatory and protective (quick response to changes in the operational situation, caution, distrust, emotional detachment, repression, denial, devaluation of problems, optimisation of energy costs, need for rest and support); positive (physiological mobilisation, activity, ability to quickly analyse a situation and make a decision, masculinity, pragmatism, persistence, practicality, conformism and optimism). It is recommended to include exercises to develop the ability of self-analysis and self-regulation in the sphere of emotional state, correction of impulsive and aggressive behaviour in the individual programme of psychological rehabilitation of police officers. Psychotherapy can be aimed at correcting the conflict combination of contradictory personality traits, non-constructive and maladaptive attitudes, the value-semantic sphere of the personality, working through neurotic and psychosomatic symptoms (using body-oriented, cognitive-behavioural, short-term positive, pathogenetic and gestalt therapy methods).
