Abstract (English):
Introduction. The article considers the problems of appointing forensic medical examinations within the framework of verification of reports of an illegal act and during the preliminary investigation of iatrogenic crimes committed in the field of rendering cosmetology services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in harm to the patient's health or death. Taking into account the obtained empirical data, a number of organizational issues that have a negative impact on the effectiveness of the preliminary investigation of crimes of this category have been identified. Particular attention is paid to the stage of making a decision on appointing a forensic medical examination and the selection of materials to be provided to the expert. Methods. The article is the result of knowledge of the investigator's activities in appointing forensic medical examinations during the investigation of iatrogenic crimes in the field of cosmetology. The information obtained in the course of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization of materials of criminal cases, court decisions, forensic medical studies, as well as the results of questionnaires and interviews with employees of preliminary investigation bodies have been used. Results. The author has formulated forensic recommendations aimed at optimizing the stage of appointing forensic medical examinations within the framework of the investigation of criminal cases on iatrogenic crimes in the field of cosmetology. A list of objects that should be provided in such cases at the disposal of forensic medical experts has been compiled. The expediency of appointing a commission forensic medical examination has been substantiated. Optimal forensic requirements have been developed for subjects of application of special knowledge involved in conducting a commission forensic medical examination.
