Abstract (English):
Introduction. The rapid development of information technologies and their implementation in various spheres of social life give reason to say that in the near future artificial intelligence technologies will be actively introduced into various areas of activity of government agencies, including forensic units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Currently, scientific, legal, organizational and methodological support for the use of artificial intelligence technologies in expert and forensic activities is at the initial stage of formation, which indicates the need and relevance of studying the problem considered by the author of the article. Methods. The methodological basis of the study was the general philosophical principles of dialectics and a systematic approach. Methods of cognition of the surrounding reality in their interrelation and interdependence, statistical, deductive method, method of system analysis, methods of generalization and forecasting were used. Results. The introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the activities of forensic units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs should be preceded by legislative regulation of the use of such technologies in forensic activities. It is necessary to develop and test artificial intelligence algorithms that meet the needs of various types of examination methods; training «artificial intelligence specialists» and including them in the staff of forensic institutions; studying international experience in the use of artificial intelligence in forensic activities and assessing the possibilities of using the most effective achievements; development and implementation of a standard representing the principles of using artificial intelligence in forensic activities and operating with related terms.
