Introduction. This article examines the complex of external and internal information and ideological threats to traditional spiritual and moral values, cultural identity, and historical memory of Russia in the context of escalating geopolitical confrontation and the conduct of a special military operation. Attention is focused on the growing role of the spiritual and moral dimension of national security and the need for a systemic counteraction to information and psychological pressure, «memory wars» and cultural and value expansion. Methods. The research, the results of which are presented in this article, is based on a set of social scientific methods: a systemic-structural analysis of current threats in the information and value sphere, and a content analysis of propaganda and disinformation campaigns. Results. The key areas of destructive influence on spiritual and moral values and historical memory have been identified and systematized: information and psychological operations and massive propaganda, the falsification of history and «memory wars», cultural and ideological pressure, the incitement of a «generational war» and a «war of the sexes» as well as technological and cyber threats based on artificial intelligence, social media and deepfakes. It is shown that the combined effect of these threats is aimed at undermining the moral and psychological stability of society, destroying intergenerational and family continuity, reducing demographic potential, and eroding cultural identity. A set of recommendations for countering these threats is formulated. It is substantiated that spiritual and moral values and historical memory are a key resource for Russia's national resilience and «soft power».
