Introduction. The object of a crime characterizes the system of social values that are harmed (or threatened with harm) as a result of the act. In this regard, such acts are considered dangerous to society. The system of objects of illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues, provided for by criminal law, allows us to determine only those social relations that are initially harmed. At the same time, the social danger of such crimes extends to a wider range of social values, going beyond the object on which the act has a direct destructive effect. Therefore, determining the nature of the social danger of illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues is particularly relevant. Methods. In the course of the study, the results of which are presented in this article, general scientific methods (dialectical, systemic, logical, analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction), as well as the formal-legal method, were in demand. Their integrated use made it possible to identify the problems associated with determining the nature of the social danger of illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues. Results. The author's analysis of criminal legislation and scientific works allowed him to present a classification of the levels of public danger of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues, depending on the object of the crime.
Public danger of the act, object of the crime, illegal sale, narcotic drugs, public relations, public health, public safety.
