On December 20, 2024, the annual international scientific and practical conference XIII Baltic Legal Forum «Law and Order in the Third Millennium» was held in the Kaliningrad branch of the Saint-Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. During the plenary session and the work of the thematic sections, topical issues of crime prevention, investigation and disclosure; international cooperation; areas of improving professional training for law enforcement agencies were discussed. Within the framework of the conference, an exchange of views was organized on issues related to the expansion of international cooperation of the Kaliningrad branch of the Saint-Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. For the first time, representatives of friendly African countries took part in the event in person: the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Sudan and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia - students of the Baltic Higher Naval School named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov. The Baltic Forum allows strengthening academic cooperation between higher education institutions, scientific schools and scientific communities. In total, more than two hundred applications for participation in the conference were submitted to the organizing committee. Its participants included representatives of scientific and educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, other law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, and foreign scientists. At the end of the conference, a resolution was adopted, which emphasized the need for further development and strengthening of international and interdepartmental cooperation in order to solve problems of scientific support for law enforcement activities.
